The results of the treatment of the obstructive sleep apnea syndrome with tracheostomy (68 patients), continuous positive airway pressure (67 patients) or uvulopalatopharyngoplasty (14 patients) have been presented. The best results were after tracheostomy or during continuous positive airway pressure application, worse results gave uvulopalatopharyngoplasty.
